Honoring Our Eighth Grade Graduates
Corpus Christi Academy Class of 2020 SOARS to New Heights
Honoring Our Graduates
The 2020 graduating class at Corpus Christi Academy may be small but they are mighty. While all of their graduation plans and traditions are presently in flux, the Academy would like to spend the month of May honoring one graduate a day. Our young ladies and gentlemen are truly the example for all others to follow as they have Inspired, Excelled, and Served the Corpus Christi Academy family like true EAGLES. As our Eagles prepare for the exciting and challenging world in front of them they can always remember being a CORPUS CHRISTI ACADEMY Eagle: "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" Isaiah 40:31
Zachary Hovanes
In second grade, Zak was chatty and creative! He was always drawing something. He had an inquisitive mind and loved to read my joke books! He was always trying to get someone to listen to a joke. Now, as I see him walk the halls as Class President I see a young man ready to head out and make a difference in the lives of those he meets. His kindness and concern for others will be remembered! - Ms. Shipley
Zachary Hovanes (aka Zak Attack) is a witty, kind and smart young man! Zak loves to play video games, shoot hoops, bike ride, and he is a talented artist. Godzilla movies are his favorite!
Beginning in 6th grade, Zak and Charlie Sturgill campaigned to bring the GaGa Pit to the school. With help from PTG, the “Pit” arrived at CCA last fall.
Zak won the Hovanes family ‘dork of the year’ award when instead of riding his bike home with his little brother, he accidentally took the bus home and left his little brother at school. He drove back up to school, hopped on his bike, and biked home with his little brother.
Zak is attending NDCL in the fall!
I salute you.....
Mr. President
Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!
Congratulations Zak! Thank you for making CCA a better place!
