Wishing your family a blessed Christmas season

We have had an exciting first half of the school year, filled with fantastic, volunteer-driven events. We are so grateful for the time and talents of the many volunteers that make great things happen at St. Mark's!

Wishing your family a wonderful Christmas,

Carla Singer

Parent Guild President

It was a great morning in Santa's workshop!

We hope you enjoyed your morning in Santa's Workshop last Saturday.  A special thank you to Elizabeth Trammell for heading up this wonderful event, and the many volunteers that made this such a special day for our families.  Some of our favorite photos from the day are posted at the bottom of this bulletin.

Teacher Holiday Fund Information

We are excited to offer families the option of contributing to the Holiday Fund as a way to recognize your children's teachers and staff at St. Mark's. This convenient way to give is optional, and individual gifts are allowed as well.

There are two ways to participate in the Holiday Fund. A donation box is present in Ms. Reid's office, or you can click here to participate online. The deadline for receiving these gifts is December 18. At that time, contributions will be tallied and distributed equally to all the teachers and staff as a holiday gift from our families. Feel free to direct any questions or comments to

calling all holiday bakers!

The Teacher Appreciation Committee is making a holiday goodie bag for each St. Mark's teacher and staff member. If you can help by bringing 3 dozen cookies or treats (homemade if possible), please contact Tonya Pickron at Drop off for the treats will be at morning drop off on December 17 in the cafeteria.

St. Mark's Stocking Stuffers at the Spiritwear Store

Stop by the Spritwear store on Friday to pick up all kinds of St. Mark's stocking stuffers. We have something for everyone, from pencils and hair bows to travel mugs and notepads. See you on Friday morning!

Easter Seals Pajama Day

With a donation of a new pair of pajamas, students may wear pajamas to school on December 7. This fun idea benefits Easter Seals in the Houston community.

Our first parent guild panel was a success!

Thanks to the 30 parents that joined us last night for our evening panel event. It was an exciting evening with useful, practical information to help parents navigate the areas of Technology, Overscheduling and Sexuality. If you were unable to join us, there are handouts available in Ms. Reid's office from our speakers, Dr. Jennifer Welch, Dr. Amy Acosta, and Genie Darilek.
