Mavericks Team Update
December 1, 2015
Class Information
Math-Students will prove that the sum of any triangle’s interior angles will have the same measure as a straight angle. For example, students will arrange three angles of a triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line - or 180 degrees. Once students prove that the three angles of a triangle always equal 180 degrees they will then practice finding missing angle measurements of triangles.
Science-Today, students will be receiving a study guide for the unit test that will be given on Thursday. They will be bringing the study guide home to study but we will also be using Kahoot to quiz in class to review for the test. Students will continue to work on their commercial (we have some really great ideas that are blossoming) after we review for the test.
Social Studies-
English Language Arts - Today we will be evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of using different mediums within an article. We are using the online Junior Scholastic to also improve our technological skills. All of the assignments and instructions for our work today is located in E-Campus, and thus students have access to the work at home.

Short Story Contest
There is a short story contest that many students are interested in. There is information in Mrs. Goodwin's room or here is the link:

This is a national competition, not a school-wide one.
EDP Session 2: The link below is that of the EDP form for Session 2. When completing the form, please make sure you prioritize the choices (1st, 2nd, 3rd choice). A few new notes about EDP Session 2: 1) Students cannot stay the day the day that they turn in their form because the form needs to be processed. They may stay the day after they turn in the form. 2) The following clubs are now closed (students cannot be added into these clubs anymore): Yoga, computer games, Fit club Thursday, Hip Hop Dance.
