Starting the Year off Right!
I hope you all have had a wonderful holiday season! As we start the new year, teachers and students will be re-visiting classroom procedures and routines. They will be re-setting class mission statements. They will also be taking a look at student progress and classroom proficiency to re-visit plans to help students meet their goals. Remember, school starts at 7:45 each day. Students should be at school by 7:35 in order to have plenty of time to eat breakfast!
School Annual Continuous Improvement Plan Goals:
- Leadership: Equip students with knowledge and skills necessary to successfully enter college, career, and workforce.
- Culture: Provide an environment within the school that promotes a positive climate and culture.
- Academics: Increase student achievement in all academic areas with a focus in reading and math.
Setting goals to finish the school year strong!
We need your help encouraging reading and math practice at home! These are our proficiency scores from our December assessments. This means students who are on grade level. Many students are right below the proficiency line and just need an extra push and some incentive! Be sure to look for your child's STAR test scores in Reading and Math that are coming home with report cards on Friday! Encourage your children to work hard and give their bests when we are taking STAR Reading and Math assessments, so we can best determine how we can better support them. We are attaching links that offer great ways to help your child at home. Attendance makes a difference!
