Principal's Corner 🍎
Greetings Aspire Families,
Today is the last day of September and the end of the first quarter of the school year. Since opening the Innovation Center in September, we have hosted almost 300 students for in person learning!! This is truly a celebration and we hope that you continue to come in for daily in person opportunities.
Thank you to our 7-8 students for a very successful interim testing. We had nearly 300 students at the Innovation Center this first quarter meeting with teachers throughout the quarter for testing and support.
Pictures: Families who purchase pictures from LifeTouch can pick up their student's photos starting on Monday. We will be set up during Parent-Teacher conferences to distribute photos as well.
Materials Pick-up for K-8 will be next week, October 3-7 from 8:00-4:00.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Dr. Ellen Ochoa
Dr. Ellen Ochoa was the first Hispanic woman astronaut. She participated in four NASA missions and spent 978 hours in space. She also contributed to creating three patents in the field of optics. NASA uses her innovations to process data gathered during missions to this very day. Her family, originally from Mexico, relocated to California, where she was born and raised. Ellen studied physics at San Diego State University. She first became interested in optics while a fellowship student at Stanford University. There, she created three inventions that improved the speed and effectiveness of how computers handle information. From 2013 until 2018, Dr. Ochoa also served as the director of NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
*Students in grades K-8 who are unable to demonstrate success (as determined by assessments and/or submitted coursework) are required to attend the synchronous instruction. This is a great way to support student academic growth. *

Dr. Victor's Dreambox DoorDash! 🥪
Want lunch delivered to your home by Dr. Victor?! All you have to do is play DreamBox!
How it works:
- Students will get their name entered into a drawing for every 5 DreamBox lessons that they complete each week.
- Drawings will be held once at the end of the month.
- Teachers will submit the names into the drawing for every 5 completed DreamBox sessions per week.
- The student whose name is drawn will get to pick what they would like Dr. Victor to bring them for lunch. This will be coordinated with their parent/guardian.
We can't wait to celebrate students and their hard work!
