Foods for healthy heart

1) Oats

Oats helps to decrease the LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) in people who have consumed oats regularly.

Nuts are rich in vitamin E, fiber, omega 3 fatty acids. Like oats, nuts also help to reduce the LDL cholesterol. But nuts also contain fats. Hence a handful of nuts will be enough for a healthy heart.

3)Olive oil

Olive oil is rich in mono-saturated fats; these fats will not only increase the HDL cholesterol levels but also decrease the LDL cholesterol level

Even though eggs have lot of cholesterol, they also contain nutrients, proteins, riboflavin, folate, vitamin D & B12. These nutrients may help to reduce heart diseases.


The soluble fiber present in apples helps to reduce the cardiovascular disease by lowering the level of cholesterol


Like apples lentils also contain soluble fiber which will helps to lower the LDL Cholesterol


Wheat is rich in catalytic elements, mineral salts, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sulfur, chlorine, arsenic, silicon, manganese, zinc, iodide, copper, vitamin B, and vitamin E. Wheat help to reduce blood pressure level, there by decreases the chance of getting heart attack. Barley contain beta-glucan (a soluble fiber) is present in the barley which plays a major role in reducing the risk of getting coronary heart diseases.


Omega-3 fatty acids present in fishes like Sardines, Salmon, tuna help to keep the blood pressure low and also help to prevent blood clots.
