Staff Luncheon- Monday, June 18th
Please Read Important
There is a phone scam circulating through FCPS. An unknown individual(s) is calling staff members at work and identifying themselves as a Lt. Daniels with the Sheriff’s Office. The person(s) tells the staff member that they had missed jury duty and there is or will be a warrant issued for their arrest. The staff member is asked for information to positively identify the person the caller is talking to and then the staff member is instructed to meet Lt. Daniels at the Sheriff’s Office. They are asked for the mileage on their car so if they are stopped while enroute to the office Lt. Daniels can notify the officer/deputy about the incident.
IT IS A SCAM! Please DO NOT provide any details about your identity, immediately hang up the phone and write down the phone number that called them. Then call the non-emergency phone number to the Sheriff’s Office (301-600-2071).
