Meeting Your Audience Where They Are - Staff

The main source of information for staff is through email. We have a variety of ways to communicate. Obviously, the daily emails to staff about important relevant topics but we use Google Docs for sharing agendas and weekly information. I have friends that use Smore to do their Friday Focus.

Meeting Your Audience Where They Are - Families, Community, and Students

Depending on your school, your location and who you are trying to reach, you will want to use a variety of social media outlets. I am at an elementary school so I use email along with Facebook and Twitter to connect and share what is going on at my school. If you are at the secondary level they are using twitter and maybe instagram.

YouTube is a great way to connect with Parents, Students, and the Community

I use YouTube and so do some of my teachers. One way is through the on-line read aloud

This is a great way to connect with families. If you want to get more global, you can always connect with other teachers/leaders and do read alouds across the country;

Connecting with your students is easier and you can flip your classroom a whole lot easier using YouTube.
