Principal's Message
What a fast and furious summer! I hope that our families were able to spend quality time together making precious memories. My family and I were able to take a trip back East and spend time enjoying each other, the sunshine, and the pool.
A big shout out to Mr. Ricky, Mr. Mike, Ms. Millie, and the rest of the maintenance team for working hard all summer to make our school shine like a diamond! We have freshly cleaned carpets, newly waxed gym floors, new paint, and much more. Thank you maintenance!
There will be a noticeable change to ANY PERSON entering the school building this year. Our number one goal is to keep our students and staff safe. Park 6 has implemented a new Visitor Management System called "School Pass." Any individual entering the building will need to check in on an ipad in front of the office windows. You will scan your Driver's License and then it will print a sticker you will need to wear. After the sticker has printed, you will be admitted into the office. You will only need to show your license the first time. You will also need to check out before leaving the building. We encourage anyone who will be picking up students to swing by the office and we can help walk you through this new procedure.
There are a few new faces coming to Livingston this year.
Mrs. Katie McCue comes to us from Eastside as our new Title I teacher. Livingston has been approved for school-wide Title I funding this year! This is great news for the students and staff of our school. This federally funded grant provides funding for schools to provide tools, extra interventions, support, personnel, training, and so much more! What a great opportunity for our staff and students! This would be a great opportunity to fill out the Title I paperwork if you have not had an opportunity to.
Our Special Ed Department has new faces. Mrs. Jenny Saunders is our new special education teacher for grades 3-5, Mrs. Kerri Thiel is our new K-2 special education teacher, and Mrs. Emily Schrenk will provide support for students in grades K-5. This is the dream team! I can't wait to see them in action.
Miss Skylah Bree will be taking over our music department. She has been working hard in her classroom all summer. I know that she already has some big musical plans up her sleeve, be on the lookout for upcoming events!
Our second grade team will add Mrs. Elise Reed to their team. You have probably seen Mrs. Reed out and about last year. She help us in kindergarten and in special education all year. She is so excited to meet her students, her room has been ready to go since June! And a little bird told me she LOVES Disney. If you can't find her room just listen for the Disney music.
Lastly, Miss Sydney Pojmazl rejoins Livingston, but this time as a teacher not a student! Miss Pojmazl will join the 1st grade team. She has been hard at work to make sure she is best prepared for her students.
We are very excited to see our students and have them here each and every day. If there are any questions or concerns, please call the office at (307) 587-4271.

Arrival and Dismissal
Morning Procedures
Students need to be outside or at breakfast in the morning.
Breakfast starts at 7:45am
Time before school is used by teachers to plan and prepare lessons and materials. Because teachers are unavailable to supervise them, we cannot allow students to be in the hallways before 8:10am, unless you have arranged tutoring.
Instructional Bell- 8:10am
If you arrive after the bell you will be marked tardy.
Tardy: The elementary schools of Park 6 take attendance twice daily. Attendance is taken first thing in the morning and afternoon. In the morning , students who are late but arrive before 8:30 are counted tardy. If they arrive after 8:30, they would be considered absent for the morning. In the afternoon, students absent longer than 20 minutes after 11:30 will be considered absent for the afternoon.
Note: Habitual tardiness is dealt with at the building level. Five (5) tardies to school equal one unexcused absence.
Dismissal Bell-3:15pm
Friday Dismissal-Early out every Friday-1:35pm
Please call the office before 2:30pm if you have a change in after school plans. This helps with getting notes to the children in a timely manner. If we don't hear from you, we will assume to continue on with regular after school plans.
