Personal Electronic Devices

Dear Cresthill Families -- both our incoming 7th grade families and our returning 8th grade families: We invite you to consider purchasing a device for your student to use (Chromebook, Mac, etc.) for their time here at CMS and beyond. As the use of personal devices is pretty much a regular part of our instructional practices and the lives of our students, we go to great lengths to make sure that every student has a device (primarily Chromebooks) for school use. We do recognize, though, with tightening school budgets, that it is becoming less and less feasible for us, as a school , to afford "loaner" devices for every student that needs one. Therefore, we extend an invitation to you to consider taking that step to purchase for your child a device for them to use both here and into their high school years.

On the Cresthill website is a page regarding our approach to 1:1/BYOD computing and device use here at CMS. On that page you will find a lot of information about the "why?" of using technology devices here at school as well as options for purchase through the district's offerings. Please take a moment to check things out and, if you have any questions, let me (Mr. Wakefield -- mdwakefield@dcsdk12.org) know. Thank you so much! And, have a wonderful summer!

CMS Food Pantry

Parents! If you are in need of food to help you get by right now, please note that Cresthill has a food pantry stocked with canned and boxed foods for you to choose from. We would like to empty the supply of our pantry before school ends in May, so please email Heather Wiidakas at hmwiidakas@dcsdk12.org if you could use food for your family, and I'll be sure to get it to you. Thank you!

Donations Needed - 4th Quarter

Hi Cresthill Families, you have been asking us about how you can help us out. We have attached a Sign Up of items that will help us make it through the day. If you are able to donate an item we would really appreciate it. Donations can be brought into the office. Thank you for showing your support.

Supporting Cresthill

We appreciate the support of our community. Cresthill does not have a PTO program and we limit fundraisers. We do rely on your generosity and support with these programs:
Do you shop at King Soopers? Did you know that King Soopers offers community rewards? WE have approximately 110 families who have designated Cresthill to receive funds. We would love to increase that number. The quarterly checks we receive from King Soopers really make a difference to our school budget.

Once logged into your King Soopers or City Market account go to:

Savings and Rewards > King Soopers Community Rewards then you can search for Cresthill Middle School either by name or YJ180 and then click Enroll.

New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a loyalty card.

Thank you!
