Principal's Newsletter

From the Desk of Ms. Clark

April 23, 2021

Dear Parents,

As you know, Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School provides a quality education to its students even in the most challenging of times. On-going fundraising is critically important to our school’s financial well-being. Last year, we were unable to host our two major fundraising events- our annual Gala and annual Race for Education. With some changes, we are so happy to be able to host both of these events during the Third Trimester. I know they are happening simultaneously, but I ask for your support of both of these important events, and your support requires different tasks.

Our SKD Virtual Gala: Please be sure to register now and join our school community for this special night. You will have the opportunity to bid on amazing class baskets, electronics, excursions, sport camp vouchers, and so much more including our amazing teacher experiences. More information is below including a personal invitation from me.

Our Race for Education: Unlike previous years, we will not be mailing letters to family members and friends. Each child has been set-up with his/her own Race for Ed Page. Please share this link with your family and friends via text, email, and social media. No amount is too small and it adds up very quickly.

Thank you for your constant support and prayers for our school. I encourage you to continue to support our work as we advance our mission to provide a transformative education steeped in academics and faith to our deserving students. There is no greater investment for forming our future leaders than a Catholic education!

Together, let us thank God for the determination, effort, support, and talents that we possess that makes our school the best that it can be! Thank you for entrusting your children to us and for the sacrifices you make each day to send your child(ren) to Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School.

God's blessings,

Ms. Clark

REVISED Symptom Screening Tool

All parents are primarily responsible for monitoring the health of their children. While it is our intention to remain open for the entire school year, parents are expected to do their part and keep their children home when they are sick.

Please see below for the “Revised” Symptom Monitor Checklist which is to be completed each day. By sending your child to school, you are confirming that you have completed this health screening.

Health and Safety Reminders

As cases are increasing each day within our county, I urge you to continue to take necessary precautions to limit coronavirus spread in our community.
