Willard Middle School
WE LEARN. WE LEAD. WE SUCCEED
The School Year is Ready to Launch
The new school year is drawing near and I hope that your summer has been a memorable one! We are so excited to kick off this year with staff and students. The building looks amazing thanks to our wonderful custodial staff. The halls are just waiting to be filled!
This week several teachers have been in working on the physical environment. They have painted some beautiful murals and we can't wait for you to see them.
Next week is registration. If you would like to help in any way, be sure to call the school office. New students will register on Tuesday, July 26th and registration for students that were in the district last year will be on Thursday, July 28th. Several students will be working at registration this year, they will be door greeters, tour guides, student help desk, and running a photo booth. The students were on the LEAD Team last year and they are excited to help out!
We have such wonderful additions to our school family this year, and we can't wait for you to meet them! Below is a list of the new staff as well as those that have transferred to our building.
This year's theme is Our Leadership is Out of this World. Each team is named after a space craft. We will kick off the theme with the students on the 2nd day of school. Each department will do activities around the theme, school expectations, or leadership. Be watching for an email with the list of activities.
Wednesday, July 27th is the first day teachers can work in their classroom. If you need classroom or technology items please fill out this link (link to spreadsheet). Reminder that if you need repairs on any technology devices put in a work order. We have had several staff members ask about bringing in furniture from home, and we ask that you do not bring in furniture. If you feel like you need something for your room, please put it on the classroom needs spreadsheet, and we will try to find something for you.
Please check out the agendas below for the first three teacher work days. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let us know. See you soon!!!
