The evening(s) your kids have been talking about are finally here...Our Holiday Music Performances are this Tuesday and Wednesday!
We hope to fill the WHS auditorium! Please have your child(ren) at WHS on their respective evening performance, Tuesday grades 3-5 and Wednesday, grades K-2 by 6:40PM to be prepared for the show to start at 7PM. A copy of the information from Mrs. Willis is also below. We have a wonderful evening planned to get you in the holiday spirit! A huge shout-out to Mrs. Willlis and the students who have worked very hard to produce a show we are all very proud of!

Good afternoon, JSE Families,
We hope you all had a nice, long weekend enjoying family and friends. These next three weeks will fly by and as I am sure you feel the same, we have A LOT on our "To Do" list of learning between now and then!
'Tis the Season! Thank you for supporting your children in demonstrating this month's life skill GIVING, by participating in our food drive last month, PTO holiday shop this week and PJ giving day Friday! Their hearts are so full when they have the opportunity to GIVE!

Holiday Performance Information from Mrs. Willis:

Dear Parents,
Our Holiday Programs are fast approaching! We have been working hard and are excited to share with you two great programs! There are some great people putting in lots of extra hours to make a wonderful program for your child. I hope you are making plans to attend! Please make sure your child has memorized their speaking parts if they have them, and their songs for the programs. Your child may access the songs through canvas or use the song sheets that were sent home. The Holiday Programs will take place on the following dates:
Grades 3-5 and choir – Tuesday, December 3rd
Grades K-2 – Wednesday, December 4th
The program will begin at 7:00 in the Wheeler High School Auditorium. The Auditorium doors will open at 6:30. The children will need to arrive by 6:40. They will need to report to the band or choir room. The band and choir rooms are located in the hall across from the field house. There will be signs posted on the doors of these rooms for each grade. If your child has a part with a costume, he/she will need to arrive a few minutes earlier and meet me in the backstage area. The backstage area may be accessed through the backstage hallway next to the choir room. The door will be labeled with a sign.
On the night of the program, students should wear the following:
K-2 – Dress clothes
3-5 – Nice pants, shirt or sweater, and scarf. No coat.
Grades K-2 will be rehearsing in the Auditorium on Monday, December 2nd from 9-10:40. Grades 3-5 will rehearse in the auditorium on Tuesday December 3rd from 9-11:15. Transportation by Union Township School bus.
Arrival Times
Grades 3-5 (December 3rd)
All student arrive by 6:40.
Grades 4 and 5 report to BAND ROOM.
Choir report to the BAND ROOM
Grade 3 report to CHOIR ROOM
6:10 - Ms. Abraham, Mr. Ladin, Mr. Scrooge, Senora Frida, will be wearing mics. They need to report to the backstage area by 6:10 to get mics on and a sound check.
6:30 - Students with costumes – Manger scene
6:30 - Painters with speaking parts, speakers, dancers, and candle holders check in with Mrs. Willis in the backstage area by going through the backstage hallway. Then go back to the band/choir room to line up with your class.
Grades K-2 (December 4th)
All students arrive by 6:40
Grade K- report to CHOIR ROOM
Grade 1 and 2 report to BAND ROOM
Those wearing a costume need to arrive at the following times:
6:10 - Santa and Mrs. Claus – get mic on and costume and get sound check
6:25 - Elves
6:30 - Trees
6:35 - Kindergarten King, Shepherd boy, lamb
*Parents, if your child is wearing a COSTUME or MICROPHONE and you drop them off backstage, please PICK THEM UP BACKSTAGE after the program. I will keep them there instead of sending them to the classrooms. Thank you!!!
