Holy Family Updates
April 26,2023
Dear HFRCS Families,
It’s Spirit Week at Holy Family Regional Catholic School! We have had a great week so far and a big thank you to the Student Council for planning such an exciting time for our students. We have had music at lunches, teacher trivia, twin day, lots of spirit wear, and we are only on Wednesday. A lot more fun is to come including color day and the Spirit Stroll.
Next week is already May! We have our annual May Procession on Monday, May 1st at 9:30am in St. Joe’s Church. Families are always welcome to attend and celebrate our faith together as a school community. It is also an 11:30am dismissal with no CARES that day.
As always, thank you for your support and dedication to Holy Family and catholic education. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Mr. Elia
Spirit Stroll
We are excited to have our annual Spirit Stroll this Friday, April 28th. There is rain in the forecast right now, so we have a rain date of next Friday, May 5th. We will make a “game time” decision Friday morning and will notify all of our families if it’s a go. As long as there is no rain, we will move forward with the original plans for this Friday. A HUGE thank you to Ms. Wylie for leading and organizing this event for our students and school. Holy Family also sends our gratitude to all our families and friends for their generous donations for this event. We are extremely grateful to have such amazing families here at Holy Family!
May Procession
The May Procession is sneaking up on us. It is at 9:30am on Monday, May 1st. It is also our monthly mass with an early dismissal. As always, all of our families are welcome to attend, especially our 8th grade families as this is the first big event for their graduation.
Field Day is May 15th

Pie in Mr. Elia’s Face
Have you ever been frustrated with me? Ever wish you could throw something at me? Well, now is your chance!!!!! We are selling chances for $1 to throw a pie in my face and raise money for our school. The student who buys the most chances, along with an adult of their choice, gets to toss a pie at me. We will also choose 3 random winners from the chances to throw a pie at me! They, too, get to pick an adult to throw a pie. Chances are already up on Blackbaud and we are accepting cash as well. If sending cash, please make sure the money is in an envelope with your child’s name on it. Chances will be available up until 9am Thursday, May 11th. We will draw the names on that Thursday and then do the “pieing” at 1:45pm Friday, May 12th. The winners and their adults will throw the pies at me on the 12th, so be prepared if you are our lucky winner!! The classroom that buys the most chances gets an afternoon at the park with a treat and a dress down too!!!! It all goes to a good cause and we have some fun at the same time!!!! Now the only question is, who wants to pie me?????
1st grade is out to an early lead, but there is some competition lurking behind them. As if this event wasn't enough, we have made it even more exciting! Not only do you get to throw a pie in my face, but you get to give Mr. Heinemann a 2nd Retirement present and throw a pie in his face as well! The link is below to buy your chances.

COVID Policy Reminder
At Holy Family, our number one priority will always be the safety of our students, staff, and families. We have seen an increase number of positive cases among students the last three days. Nothing to panic about, but we must make sure we are following proper protocols and taking necessary precautions. If we do not work together, we may be facing a mask mandate and/or possible virtual days if the numbers continue to rise.
As a reminder, our COVID Policy is below. So, please make sure you monitor for symptoms.
Everyone will follow the same procedures regardless of their vaccination status.
If you are exposed to someone who is positive with COVID-19
- There is no quarantine period, but masks will be strongly recommended.
If you live with a person(s) who has tested positive for COVID-19
- There is no quarantine period, but masks will be required. The length of time will be confirmed by Nurse Victoria.
If you test positive for COVID-19
- You must contact Nurse Victoria immediately. You will isolate for at least 5 days and be able to return after that time period if you are free of fever and your overall symptoms have improved. Nurse Victoria will confirm your return date and when you will be able to return to being mask optional.
Please do not hesitate to contact myself or Nurse Victoria if you have any questions or concerns.
