Principal's Message
With only two weeks left in this semester, the finish line is definitely in sight. We have seen a slight increase in student participation since Thanksgiving Break which a good thing. Several students completed missing work over the break and have seen a significant improvement in their grades. Well done!
December 17 and 18 are FINALS days for all of the district high schools. RVHS will have a modified schedule for those two days with slightly shorter classes than usual. Please see the schedule below.
I encourage all students to buckle down, put in some extra work and FINISH STRONG. The effort now will pay off with additional credits and get you closer to your diploma.
We got this!

STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Charlene Salvador
Charlene has been working hard to get all her assignments in and she is very kind and polite.
Charlene has done an exceptional job and is always dependable and striving to do her best! She is a pleasure to have in class and can always be counted on to attend Zoom meetings, turn in assignments and do her best. I am confident that whatever Charlene sets her mind to achieve she can accomplish and the future is bright for her. We are glad that Charlene is here at Rancho Vista and we get to enjoy having her here with us.

Students Of The Week
Employee Of The Week
Mr Matt Razukas
Mr. Razukas joined the Rancho Vista staff almost 10 years ago. Matt is one of our Resource Specialist Program teachers. Matt fit right in at Rancho Vista and made an impact immediately with the students. Mr. Razukas is a down to earth person who is very organized and well thought out, in addition to having one of the cleanest desks in school.
His students respond very well to Matt's humor and relatability. When you get a chance to see Matt in action, you will notice that students are very open and comfortable in and around his classroom. Matt has worked hard getting to know the students in many ways. If you were to scroll through the yearbooks you might see Matt in a carnival dunk tank, or playing basketball on the teacher vs student basketball tournament. Matt has always been willing to live life with the students and meet them where they are at. With Mr. Raz you get what you see.
Raz, as friends like to call him, brings a lot of experience and meaningful thought to IEP’s, staff meetings, peer groups and anything else he is involved in on campus. He is known for his ability to see the best side of a situation. To those who have sat in parent/student conferences have seen him impart his wisdom and bring peace to situations that seemed quite daunting. Matt you have been a great addition to Rancho Vista, thank you for everything you do and bring to the students and school site. You are our employee of the week.
