Winter Concert

The Tiger Fieldhouse was filled with music from all ages and even the audience during the sing-along songs. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy our student's musical talents. Mrs. Creel and Mr. Roesle put on a wonderful program combining our both our vocal and instrumental programs. Thank you very much to the South Fork Music Association for the $3,000 donation to our school.

The Gift of Reading

It is a tradition at Del Norte Elementary to have a family night dedicated to literacy. The elementary commons was filled with parents, students, teachers, administrators, and siblings. We started the evening with cider, cocoa, cookies and carols. Families then went to classrooms to enjoy a winter story and create a craft. Students all took home two new books to add to their home library.

Hand Knit Caps for Students

Mrs. Duda's grandma, Becky Williamson, teaches a knitting class in Longmont, Colorado. They have donated mittens or caps to the Del Norte Students for 33 years. All Del Norte Elementary students and staff were able to choose a cap to keep their ears warm this winter.

Elementary Pie Fundraiser

Thank you to all who supported our elementary fundraiser. This money pays for extra supplies and activities at our school.

Elementary Science Fair Club

We are getting together to help guide the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade kids who want to do science fair. Our next meeting is January 9th at 4:30 pm in the elementary commons area. We need to submit all paperwork by February 8th to the science fair board. So the next couple meetings we will be going over the science fair projects and paperwork to make sure we can get it submitted on time. We will also have a guest speaker on January 23rd talking about what they look at when they judge science fair.

Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

This is an organization that is fundraising to help support the teachers. It is a great way to get involved and active in the school. Our biggest fundraiser is Sweet and Sour. With our funds we bought the teachers playground toys for the kids. If you would like to check it out we meet on the first Tuesday of the month, our next meeting is January 8th at 5pm in the elementary school commons area.
