Senior Awards Night Information
On Monday, May 16, 2022, Calhoun High School will host our senior awards and local scholarship announcement ceremony. This event is by invitation only and will be held as follows:
Senior Awards & Local Scholarship Announcement Ceremonies (Grade 12):
The senior awards ceremony will begin in the Calhoun Performing Arts Center promptly at 6:00PM. This will be followed by the local scholarship announcement ceremony at 7:00PM. Those seniors with known awards and non-local scholarships will have them announced during the 6:00PM awards ceremony. The 7:00PM local scholarship announcement ceremony is an opportunity for those local businesses and organizations to present scholarships to CHS students in-person. The schedule for the evening will look as follows:
5:30PM - All seniors receiving an award should report to the Aux Gym
5:30PM - Doors open to the CPAC
6:00PM - Awards Ceremony begins
6:45PM - Intermission to prepare for Local Scholarship Announcements
7:00PM - Local Scholarship Announcement Ceremony
*Twelfth graders receiving awards will have invitations mailed to their address in IC beginning this week. If your senior is receiving a scholarship that has not yet been reported to their adviser, please ensure that they do this no later than May 4th in order to be included in the presentation.
Calhoun High School Prom - May 21, 2022
Time: 8pm-11pm
Tickets: $40 - To purchase online, click here: https://gofan.co/app/events/559074?schoolId=GA4868 .Tickets will be available online until 9pm on May 21. If there is some sort of confirmation email/receipt given, please keep it just in case. Mr. Benham or an administrator will have a printout of online sales the night of prom. Please put the necessary information required on the GoFan website if you purchase online - for example, if parents are purchasing for seniors, please be sure to put the seniors' name in the required spaces.
If you sold suckers, you will need to purchase from Mr. Benham to get your discounted ticket(s). You may stop by anytime but the following times are preferred: 7:30-8:55, during your lunch time, Tuesday-Thursday from 10:35-11:10, or directly after school.
Non-CHS Dates: If you are bringing a date who is not a CHS student/graduated individual, you will need to complete the form linked here and return to Dr. Holley. Hard copies of the form will be in the CHS Main Office as well.
Prom King/Queen Noms/Voting: Nominations ballots will be shared on Monday, May 16 - The 2021 Homecoming King and Queen can be on court, but CANNOT be voted Prom King & Queen. Voting will take place on-site at CHS the night of prom on May 21.
Class of 2022 Hope and Zell Miller Scholarship Information
Mrs. Arnold has received several questions about the Hope and Zell Miller Scholarship. Please note, Hope and Zell Miller Scholarship recipients are not recognized at graduation as final eligibility is determined by the Georgia Student Finance Commission and not available to us by the date of graduation.
