Importance of Home-School Partnership
With parent conferences this week, I want to reiterate how critical it is that we partner with you to ensure that every student at our school is successful. In this partnership, Yukon will communicate with you in various ways, hold parent education nights and activities, and listen to your suggestions on how we can support you and your child. The School Site Council adopted a
Parent Involvement Policy that outlines how we will work together. During your parent conference, teachers will also distribute the
Home-School Compact to define each of our responsibilities. Please take a moment to read them. I have also attached them in this newsletter. Thank you for your support.

Thank you for Participating in our Parent Math Info Night
We had several families come to our Parent Math Info Night. During this time, parents were informed on how they can support their child in math. Principal, Dr. Hardage, came to share about Magruder. Below I've attached the presentation. Please feel free to view the slides. Thank you everyone for your continual involvement with your child's education.

PAW Award
This past week, we also recognized two students from each classroom with the PAW Award. These students were chosen by their classroom teacher as students who consistently practiced the Husky BARK throughout this past semester. They showed kindness to others, acted responsibly and respected their classmates and teachers. Let's give these Yukon Huskies a round of applause! Great work! Next month, we will focus on showing kindness.

Excellent Attendance
Regular school attendance impacts student academic success. We recognize that students get sick and they need to stay home, however, school attendance is a priority. If your child does not have a fever or is not sick, it is important to send them to school. Their consistent attendance is a crucial indicator of academic perfomance. In addition to the PAW Award, we recognized students who received Perfect Attendance this past semester. Moving forward, we will monthly recognize those who have excellent attendance.
