Happy New Year!
Clothes Needed in the Clinic
Common Plan Times
I started a folder within our "2015 Staff Meetings/Information" for our "Instructional Design Frameworks". Please remember to make a copy of the template and don't type on someone else's document. I think you should be able to manipulate things in there...but let me know if there seems to be a glitch.
As of today, we've read through page 23. Please continue reading through page 40 so that when we meet on the 15th, we can start tackling the performance and student friendly scales together. This next step is going to take us a little longer to complete, but we'll get there!

AESOP Information
Just wanted to let everyone know a few things I found out about the Aesop system for reporting an absence.
1. You may list up to 5 preferences for who you would like to sub in your classroom. Those subs will receive a phone call from Aesop first before it opens up to other subs. However, this phone call is voice activated so if they don't answer the phone it will not leave a message. After so long then it will open up to other subs. These preferred subs need to be aware to check their email daily and answer the phone call.
2. The 1/2 Day AM time for a sub is now 8:40 - 11:55 and the 1/2 Day PM time is 11:55 - 3:40. This should now be corrected on Aesop. I know before it had different times listed. They will change any absences already put in the system to the correct times.
3. It is very important that you use the feedback feature to let them know how that sub did in your classroom. I believe it is a star system (1-5). This is the only way they know how that sub is doing and whether they need to have their human resources dept. talk to them.
4. You may also list exclusions of who you do not want to sub in your classroom.
5. If your preferred sub or subs are already working the day that you put your absence in they will not receive the phone call is the time conflicts with the time they are working.
6. Last minute absences will go out to all subs not just your preferences.
7. Gerry, our go to person for Aesop also told me that their is a lead time which she believes is 12 hours for our school district. This means that any absence put in 12 hours or less before the start time will go out to all subs.
I will be happy to answer any questions you might have or I will call Gerry to find out the answer. I'm sure this will be a good system once we all get used to it.
