Dear Sequoia Families,
It's hard to believe April is over! We are well into distance learning now and hopefully more days than not are productive for your family. Just a reminder to please reach out to your child's teacher, our counselor, Mr. Tayler or myself if your child or family needs support during this time. We are happy to help, brainstorm and problem solve!
On May 8th, we are asking all families who's children play an instrument to drop off both their instrument and music book at Sequoia to be cleaned and prepared for next year. In order to do this in a safe and organized way, we will have families drive through the front parking lot (nearest the office) and hand the instrument off through your car window to Sequoia staff. In an effort to keep the parking lot flowing smoothly, please follow the time frames below:
- LAST NAME begins with A - I, please come between 9-10am
- LAST NAME begins with J - R, please come between 10-11am
- LAST NAME begins with S - Z, please come between 11-12pm.
Fine Arts Day is also on May 8th! There are still plenty of Family Art Kits available if your family could use one to take part next Friday. Check out the sign up genius below as well as the supply lists. It should be a fun day!
Each year, the first week of May is Teacher Appreciation Week and we don't want this year to be any different! We hope that even though you are home, this won't stop your family from showing some gratitude to your child's teacher! Below is a flyer with a few ideas. Also, a big shout out to our generous Sequoia Parent Club for sending gift cards electronically to our teachers and staff to show their thanks! We know that all of our parents help with the fundraising that goes into being able to gift teachers with these items, so thank you!
