First Day of School - Tuesday September 8th!
Hello Winchester Families!
We are so excited to get this school year started! The first day of school is Tuesday, September 8th and the Winchester staff has been hard at work preparing for the virtual start to the school year, utilizing our new learning management system Schoology.
Classroom teachers will be reaching out to each of their families with key information about how to connect on the first day of school, provide schedules, and share reminders on how to access Schoology via ClassLink. Many of you may have already gotten a message from your child's teacher, if you haven't you will soon!
The first week of school will be spent learning how to use Classlink, Schoology, develop classroom communities, and ease our students into the new school year. We are all eager to get back to school!
On behalf of the entire Winchester staff, welcome to the 2020-21 school year! We are looking forward to seeing all of you on the 8th!
In Partnership,
Kelly I. Lindsay, Ed. S.
Principal

Symptom Screening Tool
Parents or guardians MUST check students for COVID-19 symptoms EACH DAY BEFORE sending a child to school. By sending your child to school, you are declaring that you have completed this symptom checker and that your child is not exhibiting any of the symptoms on the form.
Annual Online Registration
Every year, all families are required to fill out the digital Annual Registration for each student. Families may complete these forms through ParentConnection. Through this process you will be asked to update your student’s emergency contact information, home address and health information, review our technology use policy and student handbooks, learn more about PTSA/PTA, access the web store and much more.
Need Help? Many of the most commonly asked questions can be found on our FAQs page (located in the upper right hand corner of ParentConnection.) If you have further questions, please email the helpdesk at parentportal@northvilleschools.org.
All elementary students and Cooke School students must have the Annual Registration completed prior to the start of school on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
** This process will need to be repeated for each additional child. **
Are you ready for the first day of school?
You will begin receiving welcome messages from your child(rens) teacher(s) throughout the holiday weekend. These welcome messages will give you instructions for connecting with teachers and classes on the first day of school including Zoom links. As we get up and running on Schoology, all zoom, communications, grades, etc. will be accessed through Schoology.
For more information about our virtual start, please visit this NPS Website FAQ. We are continuing to update this resource with information that you may find helpful as we begin the 2020-2021 school year.
FOR PARENTS:
All parents were sent an email with their Schoology Parent Access Code for EACH child enrolled in Northville Public Schools. Parents should use each access code to link all of your children into your Schoology account. To create your Schoology account and link your students, follow these instructions: Setting up your PARENT Schoology Account and/or watch this Video: NPS Schoology Introduction for parents.
If you did not receive your Parent Access Code emails, please contact the NPS Help Desk at edtechoffice@northvilleschools.org or nps@northvilleschools.org. Support will be available throughout the Labor Day weekend.

FOR STUDENTS:
All students will start their daily learning by logging in to ClassLink at http://my.classlink.com/nps.
