January Marks School Board Appreciation Month!
Argyle ISD is joining districts across the state during January to celebrate School Board Appreciation Month.
The district is excited to honor its seven Trustees with the state-wide theme of "Navigating to Success." During the coming weeks, Argyle ISD will honor each Trustee with posts on social media. Four Virtual Days Approved for Second Semester
Before the winter break, the Argyle ISD Board of Trustees approved a waiver for the district to convert four days in the second semester to virtual learning. On these specific days, all Argyle ISD students will transition to virtual learning. This will also afford teachers additional planning and professional development time along with student engagement opportunities.
The waiver was presented and approved by the School Board during the December regular meeting. Teachers will communicate with students and parents regarding the expectations on these assigned "virtual days" as they draw closer.

New COVID-19 Quarantine Guidelines Implemented
Argyle ISD implemented new quarantine guidelines beginning Jan. 4, 2021. The CDC, Texas Education Agency, and the University Interscholastic League have all provided amended guidelines regarding quarantine periods for individuals who have had direct exposure to a positive individual but are not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
Based on current CDC guidance, the stay-at-home period can end for individuals with direct contact but not experiencing symptoms:
(CDC and the Department of State Health Services continue to recommend the 14-day quarantine period for direct exposure to a positive confirmed case)
- On Day 10 after close contact exposure without testing,
- On Day 7 after close contact exposure and after receiving a negative test result (which must be a PCR test only and taken on Day 5 of the quarantine in this scenario)
Please note the quarantine time period will start with Day 0 being the day of the test. Day 1 starts the quarantine time period the day after the test has been administered. Argyle ISD nurses also must receive a document of the confirmed direct exposure.

COVID-19 Cases Updated Dashboard & Case Communication During Second Semester
- Argyle ISD has provided an updated dashboard for families following the winter break. The campus nurses have compiled the reported cases since Argyle ISD was closed for the break on Dec. 17. The updated numbers reflect all active and recovered cases following the break.
- Starting this week, Argyle ISD communications will send email notifications regarding new cases to only the campuses impacted that specific day. All other campuses can continue to monitor the cases dashboard which will be updated daily and shared periodically on Argyle ISD's social media accounts. This is an effort to reduce the volume of messages our parents are receiving at campuses that do not have a reported case on that specific day.
AISD Earns Superior Financial Rating for 18th Consecutive Year
