Brian Grensteiner
I can't wait to meet you!
A quick note...
Team,
It is with great excitement that I introduce myself today as a member of the Franklin family. I am humbled to join this team and am proud to have the opportunity to serve with each of you this upcoming school year as Franklin's principal. Franklin is truly a special place with caring adults, families, and amazing students! Franklin's rich culture and commitment to excellence has grown over time because of the quality of its people. I am honored to serve side by side with each of you and I am committed to supporting you, your growth as people and professionals, and ensuring an academic environment that puts students first, is equitable, collaborative, and positive. Together, we will support each child and his/her family so that his/her dreams become reality.
This coming year is my 17th year in public school education. For the past 6 years, I have served as Principal at Tri-City United Le Center PreK-8 School. Prior, I served for 10 years as a 6-8th grade teacher and a 7-12 coach at New Prague Area Schools. A few experiences I have had that fuel my enthusiasm and passion for students, staff and education: Helping students, families, and staff see the world from a multitude of lenses and perspectives while recognizing their value and contribution to it, working within G/T and alternative learning settings, developing high functioning and effective professional learning communities, curriculum and professional development, and of course, developing high level school culture that is positive, inclusive, and ALWAYS puts STUDENTS 1st.
As a leader, I am motivated and focused on serving students, staff, and the community through building positive-interpersonal relationships, creating a high functioning school culture, continuous learning, support and collaboration. Guided by my moral compass, I am a servant leader that leads by example, puts students first, while using an equity lens in decision making. Though my attention to detail is strong and I believe in building equitable, efficient, and high yielding systems and structures, I believe it is the people, not the programs that are at the core of an exemplary school community.
As I continue to transition into this role of service, I would love the opportunity to connect with each of you and find out more about you, your passions, hopes and dreams, and how I can best support you and your work. I can be reached at bgrens1@isd77.org or call/text me at 952-261-5208. Stay tuned as I will be reaching out more as the summer goes on.
I hope you are all finding ways to slow down, disconnect, relax, and spend time with family and friends. Stay cool, stay safe, and see you soon! Go Falcons!
Sincerely,
Brian Grensteiner
