Principal's Message
Hello Seco Families,
The first quarter progress report grades will be posted in Infinite Campus on Tuesday afternoon. Please note that these are progress report grades and not final grades -- the first quarter ends on October 16.
Counselors will be sending out a "Strategies for Success" video on Wednesday afternoon. Please check it out especially if your child is struggling in any classes. The video will be posted to the counseling Google Classrooms and the Counseling Website: https://arroyosecocounselors.weebly.com
Our first virtual Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting of the year will be Monday, September 21 at 4 pm. We look forward to seeing many of you there. We will send out the link to the meeting next week.

Free Grab and Go Meals for Youth 18 Years and Younger
Free grab and go meals are available for all students, 18 years and younger, across our community.
• Meals will be offered Monday through Friday from 12 to 2, except Holidays. Meals will be distributed by drive thru from Seco's parking lot and will be available from all Hart district comprehensive school sites, as well as our elementary schools.
• One bagged/boxed breakfast and lunch per child (18 years and younger) will be provided
• Food served is healthy and follows USDA nutrition guidelines;
• No application or proof of income needed. You can just bring your child to meal site in your community.
English Learner Advisory Committee Meeting - September 16th
We are excited to invite you to our first English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) Meeting of the year. We want to encourage the parents of all English Learners, even those that have reclassified, to attend. We also invite any other family that would like to join us, as the information provided is valuable for all students. Please see the flier for additional information.
Honor Society
Attention 8th grade parents: It is time to sign up for the fall honors society program. Membership in the Arroyo Seco Chapter is open to all students who meet the membership criteria. In order to qualify, you must have earned a 3.5 grade point average for the 3rd quarter of your 7th grade year. You can check your student's GPA by logging into Infinite Campus. Service hours will not be required this semester due to COVID and the lack of opportunities to volunteer. Hart District Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCAP)
The DRAFT of the District's Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (this year's LCAP) is currently posted on the district website under the LCAP link on the main page banner.

All parents, staff members, students, and community members are invited to read and review the draft of the plan, and provide any additional feedback or comments to be considered in the final plan. This draft will also be presented at the Board meeting next Wednesday evening on September 16. And the final plan will be submitted for Board approval the following week on September 23. Anyone wishing to submit comments on the plan should send them in writing to Jan Daisher: jdaisher@hartdistrict.org
National Voter Registration Day
National Voter Registration Day will be officially held on September 22, 2020. Started in 2012 as a non-partisan national holiday, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right – the right to vote. Americans can register at hundreds of events across the nation and online at NationalVoterRegistrationDay.org. Supporters can also follow National Voter Registration Day activities through social media on September 22 by searching #NationalVoterRegistrationDay and #VoteReady.
