Noteworthy Dates: We have made it to the final month of 2020. While it is a short month in school calendar terms, we have a lot going on, so it promises to be a busy, full month. Please note the upcoming follow-up training for teachers with Eric Sheninger on the 10th, which we are excited to bring you, and, the deadline to receive a book for our upcoming SEL Book Club on the 11th. Finally, our Co-Op Office will be closed from December 21 through January 1st.

Admin. Team: Beth will be in contact with you to schedule GATES Assessments for 8th graders. Also, be watching for a teacher interest survey for SEL training in partnership with the Nate Chute Foundation. Finally, watch for upcoming Virtual Math intervention strategies trainings with Krisitn Hilty Consulting. Many great things are on the horizon to best meet the needs of our amazing co-op educators.

Happy Holidays: May your upcoming holidays be blessed with good times, relaxation, family, friends, and all of the wonderful delights of the season. We appreciate all of your hard-work and dedication to your students, their families, and your school communities as a whole, now more than ever!

Follow-Up With Eric Sheninger: Remote and Hybrid Teaching and Learning

Thursday, Dec. 10th, 4:30-6:30pm

This is an online event.

Eric is back with us for a Follow-Up Session! Whether you were or were not a part of the first session, you are welcome to attend. Presented by National Author, Blogger, Speaker, and Presenter Eric Sheninger. The COVID-19 pandemic has put schools in a position that they could have never imagined, with many largely unprepared for a total shift to remote learning. But lessons learned during the trial-by-fire first few months of shutdowns have enabled many to quickly adapt, successfully establishing remote teaching and learning at scale no matter the challenges. During this session, Eric will break down proven engagement strategies that are at the heart of successful remote learning—ones that empower all kids to think critically and then apply their thinking in relevant ways—both with and without technology. Topics to be covered in-depth include high-impact instruction, personalization, hybrid models, blended learning, equity, and family engagement. Please make sure your email in PIR Net is correct so you don't miss out on receiving the link to the session.

Mathematics Collaboration: New Date

Tuesday, Feb. 23rd 2021 at 8:30-10:30am

1102 U.S. Highway 2 West

Kalispell, MT

This meeting is intended to bridge the gap between math review cycles, which, due to the updated phases put into place by the OPI in the past couple of years, has made several subject areas spread beyond the usual 5-year range.

The day will be structured to allow for topical discussions on practices, instructional pedagogy, and supports in both horizontal and vertical groups throughout the day. This will not be a formal review of standards and curriculum support documents, but rather an opportunity to learn from each other.
