SISD Schools and Facilities Closed March 16-22, 2020

Please read the attached letter from Dr. Hunter regarding the district closing its schools and facilities from March 16-22, 2020 as a precaution for the spread of COVID-19.

Will we have to make up the days we miss next week?

Our school calendar is built on minutes and not days. We currently have 5 days to make up. We will have school on April 13 and May 22 to make up for days 1 & 2. These two days were built into our current calendar as Bad Weather Make-Up Days. Additionally, our current calendar has 3 bank days built in to satisfy additional days with no impact on staff or students. This makes up for days 3, 4, and 5.

Distance Learning Survey

We are currently researching distance-learning options for SHS students if we are closed for an extended period of time. Please complete this survey to help us navigate all student's capabilities for distance learning.

We currently have 500 responses. YEA! We would love to get closer to 700.

A Message from Nurse Gregory!

A reminder that a mobile clinic will be here on April 3, 2020, at 9 a.m. This is a convenient way to take care of your child's vaccination requirements before they enroll in college. You should have received a letter if your Senior student is still in need of receiving the Meningococcal Conjugate vaccine. Please make sure that you have turned in the proper paperwork by March 23, 2020. If you have questions please contact the school nurse, Julie Gregory, at 940-458-7497.

Support the Class of 2020

Did you know that the average cost for a child's senior year of High School is $5,000?

Want to sponsor a senior and help alleviate some of that stress?

On the morning of May 19th, the 2020 Senior Class will be treated to a breakfast, and I need help from the community to make this breakfast one to remember.

Traditionally, the senior parents all pitch in to make this happen, but I wanted to give others a chance to not only help the seniors, but to give senior parents a break from all the fundraising, volunteering, and financial strain.

All it takes from you is FIVE BUCKS to sponsor one senior to enjoy breakfast on graduation day. Want to sponsor a senior and treat them to breakfast? Donations are accepted between now and April 20th.

Donation Drop off locations:
