A Note from the FMS Administrative Team

Dear FMS Families,

It's hard to believe that we're entering our final weeks of school for the 2022-2023 academic year! In the time that is remaining, our students will continue showcasing their knowledge on the MAP test, finishing their studies in their classes, and partaking in many fun end-of-the-year activities.

While we know that our students are ready for their well-deserved summer vacations, we will miss them. We are saddened to see our eighth graders leave FMS for good, but we are confident that while their middle school experience was unlike any other, they are fully prepared for great success in high school and beyond!

We want to extend a tremendous "thank you" to our FMS families for your continued support and patience. We could not have made it through the year without you!

Sincerely,

Dr. Laura Rowe-Holler, Principal

Mrs. Amber Houdei, Assistant Principal (Sixth Grade)

Mr. Kevin Kuehl, Assistant Principal (Seventh Grade)

Mr. Adam Bender, Assistant Principal (Eighth Grade)

Staff Appreciation Week (May 8-12)

Staff Appreciation Week (May 8-12) is quickly approaching. We will be saying "thank you" during that week and celebrating the amazing educators who support your child(ren). There's no better way to show appreciation than a personalized, meaningful note! We invite each of you to write a quick shout-out/letter to a Frontier staff member who has made an impact on your child's learning. These messages will be shared during the week of May 8! Thank you for taking the time to celebrate our staff.

Clinic Update for Current Seventh Grade Students

Attention Seventh Grade Parents:

Before your student can start eighth grade, Missouri State Law requires TWO vaccinations: Tdap and Meningitis (MCV4).

In order to start eighth grade, students must have up-to-date immunizations on file with the nurse.

  • Please call your child's medical provider and verify that your child's immunizations are up-to-date. If your child has received the Tdap and MCV (Meningitis) immunizations, your medical provider may fax records to the nurse at 636.445.5327.

  • If your child needs the Tdap and MCV immunizations, schedule an appointment with your medical provider, and send a copy of the records to the nurse's office as soon as possible.

FMS will be hosting a Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St. Louis (VNA) clinic on Wednesday, May 24 from 8-10 a.m. Students may take advantage of this opportunity to receive their Tdap and MCV immunizations if a consent form is completed and returned to the Nurse's Office as soon as possible. The consent form is available below. (Parents and guardians do not need to be present, so long as the consent form has been submitted). If there are fewer than ten participants, the clinic will have to be canceled.

Students without the required immunizations will NOT be allowed to start school in August. These immunizations are also required for students to attend summer school.

Thanks so much!
