Celebrate World Oceans Day - June 8th
On World Oceans Day, people around our blue planet celebrate and honor the ocean, which connects us all. Get together with your family, friends, community, and the planet to start creating a better future. Working together, we can and will protect our shared ocean.
Spotlight School of the Month
Eldorado elementary has made great strides in their sustainability program this year, including adding a sustainability elective. Students hosted an Earth Week celebration with school wide activites for the entire school. Eldorado has an incredible container garden, chickens, compost and more. Great job Eldorado students and teachers. A particular shout-out to Jenny Henry who leads these efforts.

Is fitness part of your summer break plan? Try plogging!
That's right- plogging. Get in shape and help the environment by jumping on the newest fitness craze started in Sweden. What is it? Simply jogging or walking with a bag to pick up litter along the way. You get increased muscle use by bending down to pick up trash. We seriously didn't make it up - check out this article published by the Washington Post:
Have a great summer!
We hope that you enjoy your well earned and deserved time off this summer. Enjoy family, travel, relaxation and whatever else your summer brings!
