Hello GCA Families,

November is a great time to focus on thankfulness! This November I encourage you to look for things to be thankful for every day. At GCA we are thankful for our students and their families. We are thankful for the incredible responsibility to partner with families to educate their children. God has been good to us and we have been blessed at GCA!

Thank you to all the parents and family members who went with us to the Jacksonville Zoo! We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our next field trip in February.

Please help us congratulate the following students for earning the Principal's Award for the first quarter. These students displayed excellent Christian Character, academic diligence, and respect towards teachers and classmates.

Each student who received this award earned a $25 Visa Gift Card, and they will go out to lunch with Mrs. Barber and the other award winners.

Our Thanksgiving Food Drive will begin on Wednesday, November 1st and end on Friday, November 17th. This is a time that we ask GCA families to help those in need by bringing in non-perishable food. We try to make it fun for the students by offering prizes for those who participate.

If you know of a family who is in need of a Thanksgiving Basket, please let the school know by Friday, November 17th.

Students can earn the following prizes for Participation!

•1-4 items – Pick a piece of candy from the candy jar

•5 items – Homework pass. No homework in one subject (teacher approval required)

•10 items – 10 bonus points on a quiz

•15 items – free soda during lunch

•20 items – 20 bonus points on a quiz

•25 items – Friday Dress on Thursday

•30 items – Participate in a $20 cash drawing
