The ProStart Data System is changing. You must be registered at chooserestaurants.org
If you do not register, your students are not eligible for scholarships or participation in events.
Follow these steps:
For your school to be approved, I need the teacher to do the following:
apply at chooserestaurants.org to serve as an educator/proctor, educator or proctor.
I will then approve that and associate your name with your school.
If you can e-mail me after you have completed this step, I would greatly appreciate it.

Fall Rally-Tour the Purdue Hospitality Program
Tour the Purdue Hospitality Program as part of the FCCLA Fall Rally
(Students do not have to be members to attend)
September 26, is the Fall Leadership Rally for FCCLA
Registration is open at the newsletter below.
Cost: costs will be $22
Time: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
The rally will be held at Purdue University. Student will have the opportunity to explore campus, develop leadership, and have fun. This rally will be geared towards high school students. There is a capacity on the meeting space so please register early to guarantee your students are able to attend.
Ivy Tech Dual Credit Teachers
Ivy Tech instructors will take you through the elements of the practical final for Basic Food Theory and skills or Intro to Baking for dual credit.
Please bring your knife kit and be in kitchen uniform and non-slip shoes.

Indiana Culinary Students Represent at National FCCLA!
Anaheim, California– More than 200 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America members, advisers, alumni, and guests from around Indiana gathered in Anaheim, California for the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. The students represented 25 chapters and 24 schools from Indiana. The National Leadership Conference had an attendance of over 8,000.
Indiana had 103 STAR event competitors and these students were awarded 34 gold medals, 54 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals (For detailed information about STAR event competitors see Press Release Attached).
Baking and Pastry: Emily Daily, Madison Diehl, and Natalie Walters from Carmel High School finished second in the country
Culinary Arts: Chloe Barber, Nadia Norris, and Megan Pfeiffer from Carroll High School finished ninth in the country
Food Innovations: Grayson Yarborough from Carroll High School finished eighth in the country
Sports Nutrition: Rhiannon Kiester from Kankakee Valley High School finished seventh in the country
Two Indiana Students were awarded prestigious scholarships for their events in fashion construction.
Doria Day from Bloomington FCCLA and Felicia Sanders from Carmel High School
· 1 year full ride scholarship to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising
Indiana had 14 students that were Top Five Finishers and 27 students that were Top Ten Finishers.
New Opportunities
Indiana FCCLA will have a new state project called Food Marketing. This is open to ProStart students and FCCLA students. Details will be released soon.
National FCCLA has two new events:
- Baking and Pastry will continue after the pilot
- Event Management
