Principals' Message
Dear Jack London Families,
Winter Greetings!
I would like to highlight some of the events will be having the next two months.
First, I would like to invite you to our 2nd annual Holiday Concert on Thursday, December 12th at 6:00 pm in the Jack London gym. The performance will be about 30 minutes. We will be serving hot chocolate after the performance. Our students have been practicing and they sound great. Join us in celebrating our students on their accomplishments.
Our Jack London community will be participating in the California Healthy Kids Survey. Your participation is voluntary. It is also very important. The information you provide will help guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, improve student achievement, and reduce health risks that stand as barriers to learning. The survey is given to three different groups: our fifth-grade students, our parents, and our teachers. The student survey will be administered in the next 2 weeks in their classrooms. The parent survey is available on our website beginning on Monday, December 9th. The window will be open for 30 days. We will have tablets available at the Winter Concert if you would like to take the survey at that time. Here is the link to complete now: https://surveys.wested.org/csps/RY737NH
Our last day before winter break is December 23rd. January 6th is a professional development day for our teachers and it is a non-school day for our students. We will see you and our students on January 7th after the holidays.
I want to wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday season.
Sincerely,
Ms. Venegas
Principal

Santa Rosa GIS Day
Our 6th Graders were lucky enough to attend the GIS Day in Santa Rosa last November at the Finley Community Center. The picture was taken by a drone during a drone demonstration at the event.
"GIS Day provides an international forum for users of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society."
"This local event highlights GIS in our community through Exhibits, Maps, Posters, Presentation, and educational opportunities to school children. View a short video of an event below.
