We are planning to attend the Very Special Arts Festival on November 4th. We'd like to welcome Ms. Lisa Bankhead to our classroom!

CAPS is ready to learn all about life on a farm and Thanksgiving this month! We are still learning our ABCs as well. We have covered the letters A-G. Ask your child if he/she can find these letters as you go out and about this month. Thanks for making this a great year!

We had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch! Thanks parents for coming with us! Pre-K had a great time learning about pumpkins. We learned all about the parts of a pumpkin and the life cycle of a pumpkin. We are excited to kick off our Thanksgiving unit.

Kindergarten has been very busy and working so hard in October. We have started blending sounds to make words and will be reading in no time. We have continued writing in our journals and expanding our vocabulary. We are becoming great at identifying how many syllables in a word. In math, we have been working with numbers 1-20 and also working on determining which is more or less. In science, we spent some time learning about pumpkins and how they grow as well as classifying characteristics of the inside and outside of a pumpkin. In November, we will be discussing community helpers and Thanksgiving. We will also work on sorting and classification in math and weather in science.
