Overview of the Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution came in a short span of time. It grew more powerful each year. The Industrial Revolution started in England. It affected life by inventing locomotives. Englishmen were laboring towns and workshops. One invention of the industrial revolution is the textile mill. Samuel Slater invented the textile mill in 1793.
Textile MILL
This is a mill and this is were children work for the entire day.
Child Labor
This is a picture of a mill and this is were young children had to work when they were very young. Children started working at the age of 3 and older.
Clothing MILL
This is a picture of the clothing mill, this is we're clothes were made. Children also worked in the clothing mill also. You had to be very careful in the clothing mill because you could lose a toe, finger, or any other body part.
