Wolverine Weekly
Sunday, August 2
Thank you so much for coming out to the Drive Thru Book Fair last week! It was a pleasure to meet our Wolverine Families! In case you missed it, we still have books available for our students! Please contact me via email if you would like to pick up books or have them delivered to your mailbox!
Some families shared that they were not aware of the survey that I sent out last month. If you would like to share feedback and sign up for our Community Priorities Workshop, please click here. The online workshop is scheduled for August 13 6:00-7:30 PM.
Have a great week ahead!

Laptop Update from Andy Jenks, Chief of Communications
As you may know, HCPS will provide iPads for all students in grades PreK-Kindergarten and Chromebooks for all students in grades 1-5 in order to support virtual learning this fall. Today those devices are currently being configured and prepared for distribution, and your school will be communicating with you at the appropriate time to arrange for reservations and instructions for pick-up. Distribution for fall virtual learning will occur in various phases beginning no earlier than the week of August 10.
Please do NOT go to one of our four “mobile technology hubs” at this time to request an iPad or Chromebook for fall virtual learning, as the sites will not be equipped with devices for you. Devices being provided now are for students engaged in HCPS summer coursework. Distribution for all students (grades PreK-5*) in preparation for this fall’s virtual learning will occur in August. Your school will communicate additional instructions.
(*Students in middle and high school receive Dell laptop computers, and while most students still have their laptops from the previous school year, students entering grade 6 as well as other middle/high students who are in need of a laptop will receive additional instructions from their schools.)
We apologize to families who saw messages on social media that gave an impression that devices for fall virtual learning were available today. Again, your student will be provided an HCPS-issued iPad, Chromebook or laptop for this fall’s virtual learning, and your school will communicate more information in the near future.
