SSC Orientation & Election
Be a part of our shared decision-making
Join our School Site Council
You are encouraged to make a difference in the governance of our school by participating in this year’s School Site Council. The School Site Council is the decision-making body that is responsible for the SPSA by ensuring it’s development, annual review, updates that outlines the academic programs, supports services, and the federal funds that are used to improve academic performance of all students.
We will hold orientation and election meetings to facilitate participation for all who are interested in participating in SSC. An orientation has been scheduled to provide you with an understanding of the purpose of the SSC and to explain the election process. The SSC is mandated under California Education Code 65000 and makes decisions regarding the School Plan for Student Achievement, the Comprehensive School Safety Plan, categorical funding and other related matters. The SSC represents all our stakeholders and is comprised of teachers, parents/community, other school staff, and our school principal. The orientation will be followed by a parent election at 4:30pm. Please join us for this very important event. The meeting will be held in the Parent Center, Room 12. Click here if you need to attend virtually.
