Readers of all ages are invited to dream big with the 2019 Summer Reading Program. Challenge yourself to read a variety of genres and formats (books, eBooks or audiobooks), log your books, and complete activities for the chance to win prizes throughout the summer. Register at the Summer Reading Kick-Off Festival or online at glenviewpl.beanstack.org.
READ! Log your progress online or at the Library. Win coupons and raffle tickets, and earn a completion prize book.

It's Showtime at Your Library! Stop by for food, games, and crafts, get extra chances to win prizes when you sign up for summer reading during your visit. What is Summer Reading?
It's easy. Our Summer Reading program gives you a chance to win prizes for doing what you love ... reading! Whether you read a lot over the summer or want to set new reading goals for yourself, you can earn amazing prizes by joining Summer Reading. The more you read, the more chances you'll have to win. Nearly 3,000 people joined last year!

We have a Summer Reading program from babies up through adults.
How do I participate?
Sign up at a service desk, or sign up and track your reading online (available June 1). You can start logging your reading progress on Saturday, June 1.
Tumblebooks - EBooks and Audio Books
Students will need a public library card to use this service. Feel free to share this information and links with parents.
Northbrook Public Library Tumblebooks
TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books that teach kids the joy of reading. Hundreds of titles are available, including:
- Picture books with animation and music
- Early readers with highlighted text
- Chapter books with suggested reading levels
- Puzzles & games that compliment the selected texts, with lesson plan suggestions for educators
- Selections in English, French and Spanish

Check out the first batch of iPad-compatible TumbleBooks!
- Sign into TumbleBookLibrary on your iPad and go to the Story Books section
- Below the "Story Books" heading, tap "Click here for iPad-compatible titles"; iPad books will be sorted for you
- Click on the "iPad" button to launch the book of your choice
- Tap the "full screen" button to expand the screen
