BEDFORD JH PTA CELEBRATES THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL WITH POPSICLES!!!

BJH STAAR STARS!!

We wanted to take a moment to recognize some of the accomplishments of the students at Bedford Junior High by posting pictures of the students who achieved the highest results possible from last year’s STAAR exams. These students scored at the Masters Grade Level on either one or more of their STAAR exams last year. We are excited and thrilled by the number of high achieving students walking the halls. Just another reason why, Bedford is Best!

BRONCO CAMP 2022

Students, teachers and parents had a great afternoon participating in the annual 7th Grade Bronco Camp. Students were able to meet teachers, tour the school, and get tips and tricks on how to survive their first week at Bedford Junior High.

JOIN STUDENT COUNCIL!!

Who wants to make a difference at their school? Who would like to make an impact on their community? Join Student Council or run for office. Student council truly gives you the opportunity to foster skills like leadership, communication, teamwork, organization and public speaking. Not only do these skills help you in classes but they're also valuable to help you in life. Stop by Mrs. Lawrence's room H105 or click on the link below to get an application to run for office. Our first StuCo meeting for the year will be Wednesday August 17th at 7:45 am or after school at 3:40-4:00 pm.

BAND NEWS!

The Bedford JH band is off to a great start! Students in Concert and Symphonic band met for summer band the week of July 25th and learned lots of music, played fun games and gave their 1st performance of the year! Band camp ended with our annual trip to Hawaiian Falls with the other JH's in HEB.

JAZZ BAND!

The Bedford JH Jazz band has also been busy this summer! They had their first performance of the year at the HEB ISD Convocation. It was a huge honor to be invited to play for this event and help welcome back the amazing teachers/staff of HEB ISD. Jazz band also helped to welcome our new 7th graders to Bedford JH by performing at Bronco Camp!

POSITIVE REFERRALS

JILLIAN GAMBLE

Mrs. Wolfe would like to recognize Jillian Gamble for "doing the right thing." Jillian found a substantial amount of cash that was dropped in the hall on the first day of school. She did the "right thing" and turned it into the front office. Thank you Jillian for showing great character as a Bedford Bronco!

MURAE HORN

Mrs. Cox would like to recognize MuRae Horn for "her willingness to help others." Mrs. Cox is grateful to the entire cheer squad who helped the new teachers set up their rooms. She is especially grateful to Isabella Darce & Murae Horn who spent hours and hours across several days setting up my room. They arranged furniture, cut things out, hung posters on the walls, and essentially prepared her classroom. They were cheerful about it (even when we rearranged the chairs for the 3rd time), gave their best, and were kind to her and each other. Mrs. Cox so appreciates the warm welcome and the helpfulness of our Cheer Squad. What a great group!
