Congratulations Dawn Cash!
Parental Contacts Make a Difference!
I want to give a special SHOUT OUT to ERIN MITCHELL who sent the following e-mail to a parent:
Hello,
I hope this email finds you well. I am emailing because INSERT NAME is on probation because of her grade in science. She had a F in science. This is due to the fact that she did not turn in her balloon car project which counted as a test grade and a daily grade. However, she has spent all week working during her lunch break to finish the car and make is able to move. INSERT NAME and her partner ran their tests (as I typed) and they did awesome! I updated her grades, and she is no longer failing. She will be off probation next week.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
KUDOS TO YOU Mrs. Mitchell for raising the bar! Love it! I was taken aback when reading the e-mail, I can only imagine the parent thinking I'm receiving another notification of failing. That paragraph was powerful! Not only to inform parents of status of no longer failing, but letting them know their child put in the hard work and effort to get off the list.

Please forgive me, if your birthday was in August or September. I failed to have this idea until, now.
