Dear Families,
Wow! Can you believe we are in the second semester already? As we start the New Year, I’d like to remind everyone that school begins at 7:35 am, and the tardy bell rings at 7:45 am. Please do your best to have your child to school on time.
We had a great fall semester, and although we have been dealing with a pandemic, all the hard work of the staff, students, and parents has paid off. Please continue to follow all the safety protocols, and feel free to call the office if you have any questions. We are here to help. As we move into the spring semester, we look forward to lots of engaging activities while continuing to build on our social-emotional learning.
Please be sure you are connected through Class Dojo. Our teachers and staff send reminders, event information, and post pictures of what is happening in your child’s classroom. It is a great way to stay connected, especially during these unusual times.
Best regards,
Austin Staff
Sensory Path
Over the Christmas break, Myles Russwurm along with some help from his fellow scouts, installed the Sensory Path that Myles designed for our campus. After many long hours of planning, meeting, presenting, and fundraising, Myles was able to see all his labor pay off. What a gift Myles has given our campus and students. And thank you to all the families that participated and donated through our Hat Days in December. Your contribution was very much appreciated by all.

Absences
When your child is absent, please be sure to send a note to the office when they return. A parent or doctor note received within 3 days is the only way to excuse an absence.
If working virtually for a short period of time, be sure your child is logging onto their device every day and completing schoolwork. Otherwise, the student will be counted absent and the work will be considered missing. If you are having trouble or have questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
