West Shore Marching Band
10/15/19
Letter from our Director
To all WSMB families,
I would like to take a moment to thank our West Shore Music Boosters for yet another amazing job hosting our home show, the West Shore Classic. An undertaking so large takes an enormous amount of organization and effort. Under the leadership of our new events coordinator, Alicia Dietz, our boosters put on one of the best local marching band shows around. From concessions, to parking, to the hospitality area, and everything else in between, the event was a reflection of great leadership, coordination, and a lot of hard work. It’s important for our students to see the level of work that the staff and students put into the competitive field show, is often matched by our boosters in other areas.
And let’s not forget those amazing students who put on their best performance to date. They were fabulous!! But there’s still much to do as we move towards our goal of putting on our best performance at USBands Nationals in November. And with that said, let’s not forget that the journey is actually the best part. Getting involved and seeing the process first hand is the best way to be connected and creating some great memories along the way.
Hope to see you at rehearsal,
Mr. Starrett

HOME SHOW
Thank you to all of our adult volunteers and all the hours that you put in to make this event such a huge success! We are forever grateful for the time, effort, and dedication you all give for the program and for your children. We could not do any of this without you! Special thanks to Alicia Dietz for being our program coordinator and to Tonya Gilmore for her 13 years of voluntary service in this position. The transition looks to be a seamless one.
Thank you to the students for your energetic show and high point of the season so far! We look forward to the last month of hark work!
