How to Care for your Books
Baker Koonce students share clean books
Keep away from pets and babies
Pets like to have our books for a snack. After all, they are delicious!
Babies think our books our really neat and there's lots of space to color!
Find a safe place to keep your book at home so that pets and babies can't get them.
Keep your books dry
Water and other liquids wrinkle and mildew pages. Yuk!
If an accident does happen, get your book back to the library as soon as possible so that we can get it dry!
Use a bookmark
Holding your place in a book is as easy as putting a bookmark in your place.
No "dog earing"
A pencil breaks the spine
Read with clean hands
Remember you are sharing with your friends at Baker Koonce, but please don't share your germs or sticky, gooey or greasy finger stuff! EEEWWW! Wash your hands!
Get Hurt books to the "Book Hostpital" STAT ( immediately)
Torn pages, spine damage, stains...OH, MY! Please get damaged books to the librarian as soon as possible so that we can save them from further damage.
