If you are a parent of a current student or are a current teacher, YOU are already a part of the PTO, and we want your input!
We look forward to gathering parent and teacher input at our meetings in an effort to better serve our students, staff, and families. The fall and winter meetings will be a great opportunity to learn of volunteer opportunities, weigh in on programming and fundraisers, and provide input and help plan the spring all-school festival- New Britton Elementary's 30th Birthday Bash.

School Counselor Visits
During the month of January, Mrs. Leiner, NBE School Counselor has been to all classrooms to discuss the topic of "Future You!". Students in grades 3 and 4 discussed how their interest today can lead to further study in an area which may lead to a job or career for the future. These students took an interest inventory and then researched careers that may go with those interests. In grades kindergarten through 2nd grade, we discuss again how their interest or passions can lead to their future. Students in these grades wrote and drew what their interests are and how this might lead to the future you. Each classroom also has additional information provided by Indiana's Department of Education which is titled Learn More Indiana. Below is a link for the Learn More Indiana information for each grade level plus the website we used for the interest inventory for grades 3 and 4.

HSEF's 10th Annual Game Day
February 18, 2022
6:30pm
HSEF’s 10th Annual Game Day event returns on Friday, February 18, 2022!
The 2021-22 school year marks the 20th anniversary of the Foundation supporting local schools.
Back for its 10th season, Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation’s (HSEF) Game Day 2022, presented by CSO Architects, returns on Friday, February 18, 2022.
Grab your favorite sports team gear and get ready to tip off an informal evening celebrating excellence in education with friends and family!
This year’s Game Day event will have something for everyone in the HSE Schools community. Don’t miss this opportunity to support our teachers and schools while engaging in a little friendly competition – with multiple options to participate in person at Conner Prairie as well as at home throughout February.
There are four ways to get involved with Game Day 2022:
1. Join us at Conner Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 18. A very limited number of event tickets (age 21 and over) are available for $75. Event tickets include tailgating themed games, delicious game day food, a DJ playing live music and the annual district-wide Pop-A-Shot contest. Each ticket is a tax-deductible donation used to inspire innovation in local education with discounts available for HSE Schools staff and alumni. Masks are recommended for event attendees with hand sanitizer stations available throughout the building. To purchase tickets to attend Game Day at Conner Prairie, click here.
2. Virtual Trivia Night teams are also available for $75. HSEF is again teaming up with Hambone’s Trivia to offer a virtual trivia team option on Friday, February 18 at 7:00 p.m. for a $75 tax-deductible donation. This year’s virtual host will be Ben Yoder, a teacher within HSE Schools. Friends and family can play together on a team, with discounts available for HSE Schools staff and alumni. The playing field is up to you as the participants can be located anywhere (up to 8 people can play together remotely). To register as a Team Captain for Virtual Trivia Night, click here.
3. The Game Day Silent Auction goes live on Friday, February 11. The auction annually features unique items, amazing trips, memorabilia, and experiences, plus baskets from each of the HSE school PTO’s. You can view the auction items online from anywhere until bidding closes at 9:15 p.m. on February 18. Follow @HSEFoundation for sneak peeks of all the amazing items available for bid.
4. The very popular Rare Bourbon Raffle also returns this year. For a list of the available bottles and to secure tickets visit www.hsefoundation.org/raffle. There are 125 prizes including many amazing bottles and a custom bourbon barrel bar, with only 500 tickets being sold, making the odds of winning 1:4! Must be 21 to enter and win. The raffle will take place via a live drawing (YouTube) at approximately 8:30 p.m. on February 18. Winners do not need to be present to win. To register for the raffle click here.
HSEF’s Game Day is the largest annual district fundraiser benefitting all 22 Hamilton Southeastern Schools. Proceeds from the event help support innovative teacher grants, student scholarships, STEM projects, mental health and wellness initiatives across all grade levels.
