The rags to riches legend still continues to be in affect as people come from backgrounds of poverty and work their way up to the top of all social classes. This has been met through hard work, frugality, and self sacrifice. Oprah, Steve Jobs, Abraham Lincoln, and Jackie Robinson all came fro nothing to become something. This is what the American Dream is all about.
Oprah
Oprah Gail Winfrey was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi. she overcame tragedy and became the richest African American women ever.
Abraham Lincoln
Lincoln was born in a wooden cabin, lost countless elections and fought through opposition and adversity to lead one of the most effect presidential administrations ever.
Chief Keef
Chief Keef, alson known as Keith Cozart, is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. His mother had him when she was 16, but his legal guardian was his grandmother. Chief Keef dropped out of high school at the age of 15. He overcame all of these obstacles to become an inspiring rapper who touches millions of lives.

Yes! People from all around the world envy America and want to come and start over and create a better life for themselves. Americans themselves strive to have an American Dream themselves and work hard to gain wealth and fame.
