Anne Wien Elementary

Asst. Principal's Update for Monday, August 24, 2020

Dear Anne Wien Families,

Today begins our first full week of the 2020-21 year. We appreciate the way you used the first days to get to know your teachers and to settle into the routines and supporting tools for remote, blended learning. In addition to building community, that is what the first days are all about! Your patience has been noted and deeply appreciated! Our team is eager to provide the best learning experience possible; your kind partnership only enhances our efforts.

Thank you!

Thank you to the PTA for the snacks and ballons that complemented the First Day of School photos so many posted (see our Facebook page). These gestures rounded out the joy and celebration we had seeing you at the Popsicle Parade or Device Pick-up.

As we continue blended learning, whether remotely or in-person, allow us to refer you to the Remote Learning Resources for Parents. You can also find this page by clicking the "FNSBSD In School" button under the 2020-21 School Start button at the top of the school or district's webpage: Our school Techs are at the Help Desk (907) 452-2000 x11357, or can be reached by emailing

The Monday Message is posted on our website. There, as well as in the website announcements, are links to Nutrition Services, notice that the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program begins August 29th, and an opportunity to sign up for weekend snacks through Leslie's Children. We also posted our remote learning Live Attendance schedule.

As always, don't hesitate to call if you have questions or we can be of support or service to your children's learning.
