Supplemental STAAR Training Modules:

As part of the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) ongoing efforts to improve the state’s testing program, the Student Assessment Division has developed web-based training modules for STAAR administrations. The modules are designed to supplement- not replace- the mandatory training required of all personnel involved in testing. These modules provide a focused, narrow review of topics that represent the top phone queries and reported irregularities that occur during test administration.

NEW! Speech to Text is now available in STAAR online.

Students can use this link to practice the STT tool embedded in STAAR online without having to access the Secure Online Testing Platform (SOTP). There is also the option of printing the STT submission to turn in as an assignment.

Early Childhood Transitions Quick Reference Guide

This guide includes tips for educators on how to: • establish a supportive early childhood environment; • promote communication and collaborative relationships; • develop a cohesive transition plan; and • build self-determination skills

The Inclusion Network has been working to develop accessibility and specialization Tools that will help teachers more easily provide accommodations and specialization, and it is now LIVE.

This list will continue to expand with additional resources to provide accommodations or specialization under each accommodation.

Each accommodations have drop down menus that provides links to tools that can help provide the accommodation or specialization.

These tools can be found on the Inclusion Resources page under the Accessibility and Specialization Tools tab.
