Olympic Field Days

Students will participate in Olympic Field Days during the following days and times.

  • Kindergarten and 1st grade - June 12 at 12:45pm-2:45pm
  • 2nd and 3rd grade - June 13 at 12:45pm-2:50pm
  • 4th and 5th grade - June 13 at 8:45am-11:15am
  • 6th, 7th, and 8th grade - June 12 at 8:45am-11:15am

  • Here are some basic safety considerations for all students and adult participants in the Olympic Field Day event when being in the sun and heat.

Clothing: Be dressed for weather and activity. Wear shorts, T-shirt, and gym shoes that allows for safe participation. Not wearing proper footwear for specific events will prevent the student to participate in the event.

Sun: Sunscreen with sun protective factor (SPF) higher than 30 to protect the students from sunburn and other health concerns related to UV light.

Water: Students should bring a LARGE water bottle with water (no sugary drink such as soda, gatorade, or juice.) as the participants will lose lots of water while standing under the sun and participating in the events. PLEASE PUT NAME ON BOTTLE, THANK YOU!

    International Show Review

The International Show was a day were you would see different dances from different cultures. It’s a day where everyone gets together. You will see that we may be from different places, raised up different but that in the end we are all the same. No matter what race you are you will be treated the same as others. You would learn about other cultures, learn their ways of living and how it could be different then the way we live. You will see their art , music, food, dances and etc. It was a day were you would get to dance, know about other places with people you may not know that first then you become a family. At Boone we are all one family because we care about others and will not treat people different by who they are or where they come from. -Jade R.

    Farewell to Coach Mollie!

Coach Mollie has given us 3 great years of team-building and a positive culture and climate at recess time. But now she is moving out of state and will no longer be here at Boone. We wish Coach Mollie all the best in her future endeavors, and thank her for all her hard work and efforts over the years!

    Girls on the Run Reviews

Girls on the run is an amazing program where every girl wishes to be in. They help you stay strong and be who you are. At first when I went to GOTR the third graders were sitting at another table and the fourth graders too. Then when we got got to know each other we were like a great big family. Girls on the Run has taught us to be confident, strong, to be accountable, to show empathy, and to show our "star power" towards one another. When the girls in GOTR were sharing what they liked about it, they made me think that us girls can accomplish anything and that's what I really like about GOTR. -Atalia B.

GOTR was a really fun experience for me. The program really taught me how to be more confident. I really learned that its okay to be by myself. I like the people I'm surrounded with in GOTR becasue they are all strong and independent young girls. As my first year I think it was really good and fun. I thought in the beginning that I wouldn't be able to run and I thought that I wouldn't make friends but now I know and consider the girls my friends. Not only did the girls impact me but the coaches did too. The way they stayed positive and were great encouragers really impacted my mood and mindset. So I really want to say thank you for this amazing experience. - Celeste I.

A Message from the Boone Girl Scouts

Last week at Girl Scouts we planted flowers in the benches. We planted the flowers to earn Our last badge for making the world a better place. Girl Scouts teaches us to be honest and far, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, corsages and strong, responsible for what we say and do, and to respect ourselves and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and to be a sister to every Girl Scout. Can you help us make the world a better place by taking care of the flowers? Please and thank you! -From the Boone Girl Scouts

    2nd Grade Fairy Tale Theatre!

Second Grade room 101 held a Fairy Tale Theatre performance! Read some of the actors' reviews of the show:

"I was a little bit scared to be the 2nd pig, but I still had fun" - Edwin M.

"I felt kind of nervous because of so many people watching. I was the first pig that built the house of straw" - Adrian S.

    Box Tops

Please remember to bring in your Box Tops! This is a quick and easy way to raise funds for Boone. You can give them to your homeroom Teacher, thank you!

    Cupones (Box Tops)

Muchas gracias.
