Jaguar Newsletter - Vol.6
¡Hola Jaguar Families!
We are completing our 4th official week of school and will be honoring Labor Day this Monday, Sept. 6th! I cannot believe that we have already completed 19 days of school! GREAT JOB!
Families and Students- The historical meaning of Labor Day started in 1894 with President Grover Cleveland. It was designated to celebrate the achievement of the American worker...
Although, we can all agree that having a job and working hard is important, so too is the fact that taking a break and honoring a rest day is equally as important. I want every Jaguar Family and Staff member to honor their personal rest time this Monday so that we are ready to go on Tuesday!
We are having our Senior Sunrise this Friday - Sept. 3rd to honor our Senior Class of 2022! We will watch the sunrise together at 6 am and hope for our bold wishes to come true. It is a special tradition here at RCLA and we invite all Senior students and Staff to attend! Congratulations Class of 22- We are expecting great things from you!
Parents- please ensure that if your son or daughter is not feeling well, do not send them to school. We have been very fortunate to not experience any outbreaks of Covid on the RCLA campus and we work very hard to ensure that it continues to remain so. PLEASE DO YOUR PART! We want every Jaguar to arrive on campus safely and leave under the same condition.

Attendance Matters!! EVERY DAY- 8:30 AM
- Students will do better in school with grades and assessments. A student must be present in order to learn to succeed in their classwork and tests.
- Students will have a better chance to graduate on time.
- Students will be less likely to need intervention.
- Attending school regularly and on time develops skills and attitudes that help a student be successful in later life such as self-discipline, punctuality, and sticking to a routine.
College info session!
We had a great first college info session with Santa Clara on Tuesday in our advisory class. Students came in with great questions to ask about the college requirements, financial aid, and majors being offered at Santa Clara.
Next session will take place in their advisory class on Sept. 7 with CSU Chico.

Jaguar Mental Health Reminders
When making a choice make sure you discipline yourself and really think beforehand about the reason behind your choice.
Crying is not always bad
There are many reasons people cry. As you can see in the picture below. Not all that cry are sad to upset they may be happy or very proud.
We are not perfect
At times we rush to text others back and they may interpret the message in a way you did not mean. Always be cautious when sending a message over text.
