Medication Drop Off

Many of our students may need medication daily or occasionally, during the school day. If medications are needed, parents are required to bring the medication to school and complete an “Authorization to Give Medication” form. Students are not allowed to transport medication to the clinic from home. Some students will be allowed to carry certain medication with them but the parent is required to complete an “Authorization to Carry Medication” form. If your child has asthma, seizure disorder, diabetes, or an allergy to certain foods, a signed action plan will also be needed from the student's doctor. It is the parent’s responsibility to keep the clinic staff updated as to any changes in medication dosage, etc. All forms are found under the “Clinic” tab under “Resources” on the Eastvalley website. The nurse will be at meet and greet to accept medications and signed forms.

What If I Can't Come to Eagle Day?

Please reach out to your teacher via CTLS Parent or email, and let them know that you will be unable to attend.

You are welcome to send school supplies with a neighbor or friend to drop them off for your child if you do not want your child to have to carry everything on the first day.

What Do I Do If I Need to Change Transportation or Check Out Early?

Transportation Change

A request for your child to go home a different way other than normal must be submitted in writing. Phone calls, emails or fax requests are not acceptable since verifying the identity of the caller is difficult. If, during the school day, you need to change your child's dismissal for him/her to attend ASP, please call the front office. All transportation changes must be made by 1:30 pm on regular school days and 11:30 on early release days. Please remember that ID is required for all student checkouts, including both from school and ASP.

**At this time, CCSD does not accept guest bus riders. Children who ride buses are to ride only the bus to which they have been assigned. Please contact the front office if you have an emergency.

Checking Out Early

Student checkouts must be completed by 1:45 p.m. on regular school days and 11:45 a.m. on early release days. It is important that the 1:45 deadline is enforced as the front office staff begins dismissal procedures at 1:45 p.m. Various reports are run which need to be distributed before 2:00 p.m. Identification will be checked for all student dismissals. Students will be released only to those authorized in ParentVue.

Visitors and Volunteers

We love volunteers! We will have many opportunities for you to volunteer at school! We will be sending out a sign up for a few opportunities in the next few weeks. In order to help students learn our routines and procedures we will only be allowing students and staff in the building for the first few weeks of school. We will have staff members assigned to all parts of the building to help our Eagles safely get to their classrooms.

Once we have these routines and procedures established, we welcome prearranged volunteers. We will send out more information soon about ways you can volunteer at Eastvalley!
