School bus arrangements for 2022

Next year our school bus operator is changing. Our new school bus operator is Greenline Motors. We are working closely with Greenline Motors and the Ministry of Education to ensure that the transition to our new school bus operator goes well.

We are excited that the existing bus routes and timetables will remain the same as 2021.

Please note: if you currently have a private arrangement with your bus operator, you will need to contact your bus operator to confirm that your arrangement will continue in 2022. (Allen Fretwell, Managing Director, Greenline Motors 07 889 7758.

Room 3 and 4 Property Refurbishments

SJ McCarthy builders’ are making steady gains with our property refurbishments. This week the suspended ceiling in the shared space has been installed, insulation complete, and the aluminium doors and interior windows have been installed. Our best timeframe estimate in the current building climate is that the classrooms will be ready for use at the end of November. We can’t wait to see the finished product!

End of Year Events

We are close to announcing what our specific end-of-year events will look like. Under the current alert level restrictions, all of our events will be in a different format. We endeavour to give our students the best experiences we can in the circumstances. Next week’s newsletter will provide more details around these events.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

School Photos - 26th November

We are hoping that School Photos will be able to go ahead on Friday 26th November. If you would like a sibling photo (School age children only) please collect a sibling photo form from the office.

Congratulations to our 2021 Athletic Champions.

We did it! Athletics programme for 2021 complete!

We are very excited to announce Greer Gemmell and Jake Horan as our 2021 Athletics Champions, an achievement they can both be very proud of.

Greer and Jake received their Senior Athletics trophies at assembly today. Congratulations again on a wonderful effort and fabulous role modeling of your 'Strive to Succeed' attitude.

Thank You Mr Lowe

Today we farewelled a wonderful friend of Stanley Ave School, who has been our 'Go to Guy' and 'Bowls Guru" for the past 19 years. We will miss his smiley face and all the wonderful sayings from the 'old days' that we have all learned to love. Mr Lowe has been integral in encouraging our students to give it a go and try something new and his kind and caring nature means that past students still stop him in the street to say Hello. Something I know tests his memory for names.

Thank you, to one of the world's genuine good guys.Thank you also to Mrs Lowe for sharing him with us for all these years. All the best for your new adventure in Rotorua.
