“Pasko sa Piling ni Gob. Lala”, all set for the Yuletide 2013
“Pasko sa Piling ni Gob. Lala”, an activity designed for the celebration of sharing, giving, and loving the children and senior citizens of Cotabato Province is all set for the Yuletide season this year.
On November 21, 2013, its inauguration will be held at Barangay Taluntalunan in the Municipality of Makilala.
In coordination with the eighteen (18) local government units of Cotabato Province, LGUs’ will take their part in identifying and preparing the venue of this exciting activity.
Around 300 children per locality aged 6-10 years old are expected to participate on such enjoyable celebration, whereas around 150 senior citizens per LGU will also be attending the afternoon party.
True to its aim, the technical working team prepared a one-day general schedule to synchronize the event.
The party is scheduled for the kids in the morning while senior citizens are placed in the afternoon. After the two consecutive gatherings, employees from respective offices assigned per Local Government Unit will have the chance to enjoy with Cotabato Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza at night time.
“This is another way to show how intimate and dedicated we are in the Provincial Government of Cotabato in bringing fun, happiness, and smile to our children and elderly. Let us always put in our minds the many things we can do to make others feel better during Christmas season”, the governor said.
Eighteen offices are each assigned to an LGU to take care of the activities.
Activities for children include gift giving, parlor games, singing, and dancing, while senior citizens will be employing stretching exercise and simple parlor games.
Free food will also be served during the entire program.
“Pasko sa Piling ni Gob. Lala” will culminate at the Cotabato Provincial Gymnasium on December 23, 2013, this time, to be attended by PGCOT employees’ sons and daughters.
